APOCALYPTICA Reaches The 'End Of Me'
June 21, 2010The Pulse of Radio reports: APOCALYPTICA has released "End Of Me", the first single from the Finnish rock cello quartet's upcoming album, "7th Symphony". The song features vocals from former BUSH frontman Gavin Rossdale. APOCALYPTICA member Eicca Toppinen told The Pulse of Radio about selecting the right singer to fit the track's style. "This time we had loads of songs and we were always like, 'Okay, who could we get to nail this song down in the right way?' But the song itself, I think, is pretty much straight kind of, it's more like FOO FIGHTERS-ish style than really a metal song. It's a really catchy and cool song."
APOCALYPTICA has also shot a video for "End Of Me" that features Rossdale.
"7th Symphony" will arrive on August 24. It follows up 2008's "Worlds Collide", the first APOCALYPTICA album to really break through in the U.S.
Just like that record, "7th Symphony" includes a number of guest vocalists such as SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith, FLYLEAF singer Lacey Mosley, vocalist Joseph Duplantier of French metal act GOJIRA and Rossdale.
